Since June 1st, we’ve made alot of progress with the FAMU Young Alumni Movement: talked with university/alumni association leaders, communicated with sponsors, made plans for a host hotel and welcome reception, received interest from over 100 young alumni from across the nation who are looking to help, added structure to the movement, and developed a website (launching next week). It has been a whirlwind month already.
Now is the perfect time for those interested in making a difference to meet. To take that small step which produces large results. To produce a defining moment if you will.
Tonight,a group of us will meet at Sutra Lounge in Atlanta where I’ll give an update on the aforementioned topics and more. But more importantly, I want to collect everyone’s thoughts on the Movement and the kind of experiences they’d like to receive during the Atlanta Football Classic Weekend. Of course, all of this will happen over a few drinks and with good music in the background (does wonders for the creativity).
There is no cover charge tonight, so if you’re availble, come out. Sutra Lounge is located directly across from Opera Nightclub on Crescent Ave.
