Let’s Take Some Time Out To Recognize Some Great Professionals

We wanted to build off of the 2009 Atlanta Classic Weekend, and involve more people in our Young Alumni Movement. The objective was to engage more young alums, and turn them into active participants in the weekend. The result was the construction of three (3) host committees: those for professionals, those in entertainment, and those in the arts. Essentially, a committee to host each event during the weekend.

90% of alums fall into the professionals category, and we’re recognizing their hard work and contributions to society. The sad part is that, although they are the people that make the world run efficiently, they rarely, if ever, receive any recognition for it. Sucks doesn’t it? They’ve done they were supposed to do. Now, it’s their time to be recognized. Give them a pat on the back when you see them again, a poke on Facebook, or a seemingly “I appreciate you” text message.
