My Entrepreneurship Presentation To The Kids: What About The Other 99%?

Today, as part of the E.M.B.O.D.I. program created by the Stone Mountain-Lithonia Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., I gave a 15 minute presentation on entrepreneurship to a group 12-15 year old black males. It went better than I expected, and here are my lessons learned:

  • I’m old because these kids were a lot younger looking than I expected.

  • I only have slightly more “kids” skills than a bag of rocks. I just don’t have alot of experience with children.

  • I’m pretty passionate about teaching entrepreneurship, and while I like talking to younger people, I’d probably be more effective talking to people 18+
