We had a pretty good time in New Orleans last year during Essence Music Festival Weekend, so I’ve made the the decision to the attend this year as well. Notice I said “pretty good time.”
in 2010, the Saturday Day Parties were really cool, but we had nothing to do on Saturday night, and Sunday night was even worse (besides the actual concert). And in talking to many people in our range, they felt the same way. Now how is it that with all of these people in a concentrated area, there weren’t events where a good time was guaranteed? We deserved better. To make it worse, I had this sneaky feeling there was a hot event going on that I didn’t know about it.
I hate sneaky feelings.
Well, over at DIGITALGUESTLIST, we’re trying to solve this problem. We’re creating an “Insider” Guide to Essence Music Festival Weekend which will allow people to discover AND access events, either for free or at a discount, where we think they’ll have the most fun.
