How We’ll Make Life Better For Young Alums Across The Nation

Over the past seven days, I’ve been busy pushing forward. I’ll be participating in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Walk in Atlanta on April 14th, and thinking about putting teams together for the Red Bull Soap Box Race (June 9th), and HBCU 5K Run/Walk (June 30th).

Also, I started a list of good events in Atlanta. Consider these my personal picks. If interested, sign up at www.joeydigital.me/good.

But what I’m really excited about is something we’re calling the “Young Alumni Inductions” – a series of events for recent graduates. I’ve wanted to do this for a few years, but time restraints prevented it. Not this year. Before spreading, we’ll test out the concept with Spring 2012 Grads from Florida A&M and Florida State Universities.

Here’s what will come from it:

– Two (2) awesome parties for young professionals + Spring 2012 graduates & their family/friends
– Matching of Spring 2012 Graduates with young alums in cities where they are moving

The leap-of-faith assumption is that an easier life for young alums will translate into them helping others and joining the Alumni Association. File this under Problem #4.

Here’s how it works:

Members of our Young Alumni Movement team will contact Spring 2012 grads about their future plans. For example, Breyon Love may be moving to the Big Apple to take on Wall St., so we’ll put him in contact with Lauren Grant. Or Tray Fitzpatrick may move to Miami for a life of fun in the sun, and we’ll make sure Matt Beatty shows him the ropes to the know, and the ropes to skip.

The events are simply the conduit to make a difference…and create life-long memories.

Spring 2012 and young alums should sign up at www.joeydigital.me/spring2012

More updates to come…
