Disclaimer: I have NO intention of ever being a real deejay. Wouldn’t disrespect them like that.
What started on Monday as an impulse has turned into a near addiction: I’m culling my 10+ years of party experience, and designing a playlist for my theoretical ”perfect” party.
I hope to release the playlist in the near future, and will try my best to document this experience. I’ve already realized that I’ve long secretly desired to rock a party, but don’t have the requisite skills to do so (something about my inability to do two things at once). I’ll stick to building communities, and organizing people in social environments.
Ok, here are the major assumptions:
+ The party is held in the present (May 2012)
+ Guests are in the 24 – 36 age range with the average being 29
+ Guests think somewhat like me (lifestyle – music/clothes, life philosophy, etc)
+ Party is from 10pm – 3am
+ Party is one of those liquor company sponsored events (no cover + open bar) I’m known for. Meaning the line is wrapped around the block at 9pm, and the party is packed by 10:45pm
+ Gender Ratio is 62% female/38% male
+ Black people make up 90% of the crowd
